Welcome

On Monday, September 28th, 2009 I begin a new adventure as a Senior Operations Analyst with a very large, well-established, company. I look forward to this role and look forward to a great deal of time with them. If you need my help, I have friends and associates still looking for their own ideal role, please let me know if you need help finding someone or if you have any good causes for me to assist with.

I am proud to have worked for TLC Vision for 3 years as a PHP/MySQL developer. The experience gave me excellent depth on developing business systems in PHP and MySQL along with opportunities to leverage my skills in JavaScript, CSS, and Flash. While I am looking for something new, I would like to let those who visit that my skills in development can be applied to many roles, as has been proven in my roles at Toyota Canada, Molson Breweries, Paramount Trading and Microsoft Canada. I am most interested in positions that feature development, either ASP or PHP, but feel that my expertise in Desktop Support and Implementation Services should not be overlooked. If you need someone who can keep your people working, with minimal downtime, call on me

I am a Jack of IT. While I am looking for work close to home (Brampton, ON), I will consider anything in the GTA (west-end preferred). I have a wide range of skills and I'm very eager to help people with technical issues. I am familiar with networking, server management, and keeping costs down. My scope of experience will benefit your team.

What I most desire as my role, my career, is to serve an organisation by delivering excellent support of technology through an innovative and persistent desire to help people work well with technology. I have experience, tenacity, and a genuine interest in helping others. I excel at technical problem solving and making things that do not mesh, mesh. My favourite (technical) things include cool SQL Queries, great user interface presentation, and efficient processes.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2006.02-2009.02: Application Developer  (TLC Vision Inc.)

Maintenance and support of Linux-based Servers running on VMWare ESX and developing and maintaining business systems built on the Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP platform.

Recommendations:
"Cameron worked independently on a number of projects – most notably the on-going maintenance and development requirements of an “acquired” legacy LAMP-based system. Being thrown at a new system, with both an unfamiliar setup/configuration, did not stop Cameron from effectively troubleshooting issues that arose after its acquisition, implementing the required changes that on going maintenance demanded, or developing enhancements that improved the system’s performance and ultimately the end-user’s experience."

Brian McClure, TLC Vision Inc., 2009

2003.01-2005.11: Technical/Desktop Support at Toyota Canada Inc.

"Cameron was an integral part of his team and demonstrated excellent skills at many levels of his job. His contributions ensured his team’s objectives were met in a timely and organized fashion, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction."

Rui Pedreiras, Toyota Canada, 2005

"he was able to work through various challenges including implementation of SMS and many hardware and software rollouts. Each opportunity led to new tools being created by Cameron to help things run smoother and faster, with less manual work being required."

Chantal Gallant, 2009

"During Cameron's service with us I admired him for his many valuable qualities, and regarded him with evermore respect. Although I never had the pleasure of supervising Cameron he is very goal oriented as well as a team player and was keenly devoted to his work, but being a real people person, he was also enjoyable to be around."
